The Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission is proud to announce the 2010 Annual Tribal Habitat Conference November 8-9. The conference will be hosted by the Nisqually Indian Tribe and held at the Nisqually Youth and Community Center in Olympia, Washington (map).
Directions to Nisqually Youth Center (printable pdf)
This conference provides an opportunity for Tribes to exchange ideas and gain a “big picture” perspective and appreciation of the tribal contribution to the challenge of habitat protection and recovery. It is a forum by which we can collectively chart our progress and more effectively plan future habitat priorities.
Day One of the conference will focus on guest speakers and presenters.
Day Two will be workshops on current topics and/or a field trip.
Poster Session
We will again be hosting a poster session throughout the conference. Think about projects you would like to showcase at this event and let us know if you are interested in developing a display. If you wish to participate, please forward your name and the topic of your poster for consideration to either:
Ash Roorbach, CMER Riparian Ecologist at the Olympia office of NWIFC, (360) 528-4332
or
Eric Wilkins, Coastal Habitat Biologist, (360) 374-5501
More information on the 2010 Habitat Conference will follow shortly.
